C’s Birchbox Man always arrives late in the previous month but I like to save the review for the actual month, if that makes sense. This month was a pretty cool box, and a total win for him!
Incase you aren’t familiar, Birchbox Man is a grooming and lifestyle subscription box for men. Each month Birchbox Man comes packed with 4-5 samples of various shampoos, soaps, and shaving product samples. The box also includes what Birchbox calls a lifestyle extra, usually valued at more than the cost of the box, It will be some neat product that most guys are into. As the counterpart to Birchbox, the same points system exists, allowing subscribers to average an extra 5 dollars each month to spend in the shop!
The sample choices were back for November, except the men actually got to pick their full size lifestyle item. They also had the option to select a fully curated bead grooming box for “Movember.”
I actually missed the sample window, by the time I went to select for C, all that was left were Notebooks, which he really didn’t want. We opted for “Surprise me” and lucked out with exactly what he wanted!
Birchbox Man ships by the 25th of the previous month via Newgistics. It can take up to 10 days to arrive, but C usually has his in less than 5.
The Birchbox Man box is a bit larger than the woman’s box.
The theme this month is “On a Mission.” The lifestyle items this month were selected because they give back, seems appropriate for November.
First Look! I had peeked because I was worried C would end up with the notebooks. I was thrilled that he got these socks! All the other samples seemed like a great size as well.
Face to Face foam cleanser: Full Size, 23. Sample Size, 2.30.
This is a foaming cleanser, which I thought was weird considering the packaging. It doesn’t have much of a smell, which is usually fine. It seems really gentle, coming into the winter months, its super important to have a cleanser that’s not over drying.
Davines Rebalancing Shampoo: Full Size, 25.50. Sample Size, 1.50.
C has gotten this in a previous box (On a different account) and liked it well enough. However, I think we’ll hold onto this for travel. He’s really into the Lush solid shampoos and they seem to last forever.
Dr. Brandt Pores No More Vacuum Cleaner: Full Size, 45. Sample Size, 11.50.
I actually sampled this in my own Birchbox last month. I love the stuff! You rub it all over your nose, let it dry, rub it off and rinse. It just sucks all of the dirt and grime out of those pores. I’m not sure if C has tried this yet, or will, but it will get used either way.
Rusk Paste: Full Size, 18. Sample Size, 6.75.
C really likes this stuff. He’ll probably want a full size, but surprisingly, this is another super generous sample, so I think it will be awhile before he needs more. It has a nice smell and holds well without being sticky or crunchy.
Bombas Socks 2 pairs: 18.
C and I both have Bombas, and they are probably our favorite socks ever. If we could justify 9 dollar socks, I think we’d throw out all of our socks and just own these. They are soft, cushy, and thick. They don’t slip and they have an arch band. I cannot say enough good things about these socks. C was disappointed when they were marked “sold out” on sample selection day, but it all worked out and he got them anyways!
Overall, C’s November Birchbox Man had a total value of 40.05. Every product will be used, and his lifestyle item was a great fit for him! It was a total win, I think.
