Holy Crap! I don’t know that I’ve ever seen my PopSugar Must Haves box so early in the month. Today is the 10th and it’s here! Amazing!!
In case you aren’t familiar, PopSugar Must Have is a monthly box that brings you the best in home, fashion, beauty, fitness, and food curated by the editors at PopSugar each month. Boxes cost 39.99 a month and generally have a value of 100 dollars or more.
PopSugar Must Haves ships via FedEx SmartPost and generally takes about a week to get to me. They send tracking info, but I don’t think I ever saw it this month, my FedEx app also never listed this box, which makes me think it was shipped overnight or something! Crazy!
PopSugar offers an info card with every box. The info card lists every product along with a description of the product and the product’s value.
First look! I think at first glance, this has been my favorite box. It’s colorful with a ton of little things to check out. It’s packed to the brim, and nothing is double packed in extra shipping boxes, making the first look even more appealing. I didn’t look at spoilers this month. Again. My new trick to avoid peeking is sending C a blog post with spoilers. He looks at it and tells me if he thinks I’ll like it or not. For whatever reason, it works and then I feel guilty if I do peek since he’d know.
KeepCup Brew 12 Ounce Reusable Coffee Cup: 26.
This is probably the most well designed coffee cup I’ve ever seen. It’s short and stout, so it will fit in my cup holder of my car no problem. I always like the idea of bringing my own coffee cup to refill at Starbucks, but in Michigan there seems to be very little incentive to do it. I love the cup, and I might even use my coupon code to buy another one.
First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream: 28.
I was pretty excited to see this product in the box. I’ve gotten samples of it from Birchbox and Sephora previously, but could never justify the price. The stuff is thick and has little to no scent. It’s a holy grail moisturizer and I’m totally prepared to slather this on every inch of my dry skin all winter long.
Jack + Lucy Pom Pom Hat: 32.
This is cute, and the pom pom on the top adds a little something. I’ve heard this hat matches gloves that subscribers got in January ’14 box, which is pretty cool if you stay subscribed. The hat is soft and warm. Now that winter has finally set in here in Michigan, it will probably see some use.
ToGoSpa EYES: 12.50.
I’m all about products that claim to reduce circles and puffyness around eyes. I gave these a go earlier. They are a little stickier than I had expected, but I liked the cooling effect they provided. Not sure if they actually provided any relief, but they were still super refreshing.
General Mills Nature Valley Protein Granola: 3.68.
Peanut butter and dark chocolate granola?! Who knew that was a thing? I’m not sure if there are any variations on the flavor, but this flavor seems perfect. I happen to have a little bit of yogurt left from making Dunkaroo dip, and I’ll give this a try tomorrow AM. I was tempted to eat it right out of the bag, though. I’m sure it would also make great granola bars.
Manduka eQua Hand Towel: 16.
At first, I wasn’t sure what to think of this. It’s a yoga towel. But then I felt it and it’s the softest towel known to man. If you have curly hair, a microfiber towel is a great way to towel dry your hair to prevent or cut out frizz. Other than that, it’s also super absorbent and would be really nice for a gym bag.
Skin Jewel Tattoos EMPIRE: 18.
Hmm…They had these in the box as a shameless plug for the new TV drama on FOX called Empire. While I can’t say I have any interest in checking out the show, these tattoos are neat. I doubt I’ll use them, but I have a friend that might be into them.
And that’s the January ’15 PopSugar Must Haves box! I thought it was super well rounded and might be my favorite box to date. This box had a total value of 136.68. Not bad for 39.99!
