I think Love with Food is probably my favorite snack box. My only problem with it is there’s only 1 serving of each snack and sometimes the full size versions are hard to find in stores. Oh well, I love it. The snacks are fun and unique.
Not familiar with Love with Food? Love with Food is a monthly snack box. Each month they send a mixture of organic, all-natural, healthy snacks for you to try. They offer two options. A Taster box (10/month), which includes 1 of every snack in that month’s theme box. They also offer a double box (17.99/month) Which includes two of each snack offered that month. Love with Food also donates 1 meal to a child in need per box shipped. (2 for a deluxe) They now offer a gluten free snack box which includes 8-12 snacks for 25 dollars a month.
Love with Food ships out around the 10th of each month. It seems to take 5-10 days to get to me. I usually get it the same day I get my Birchbox.
First look! I was already excited since I saw a favorite snack of mine, but they never put a bad snack in the box, so they are all favorites! It’s amazing how many snacks they pack into this small box.
The theme this month is Fun at the County Fair and includes Fair inspired snacks. I think Love with Food does best at sticking to the theme, it’s always fun. They changed up the info cards this month. The info card now includes a recipe and a more informative description of each snack. There are now very obvious color coded labels that state which products are organic, vegan, GMO-free and gluten free.
Lollipops by YumEarth:
The flavor I received were pomegranate. They were crazy difficult to get out of the wrapper but they were amazingly fruity and enjoyable. They didn’t leave that sticky film in your mouth. I ended up eating both. I didn’t share.
Kettle Sweet Peanuts by Love with Food:
I think this is the first time Love with Food has produced their own snack for the box. While it’s a cool idea, I think I’d prefer a snack that I can find at Whole Foods if I really like. There’s an included recipe for these nuts and I think I’ll save them for the Blue Ribbon Chocolate Peanut Cookies! Yum!
Skeeter Nut Free Cinnamon Grahams:
These are very similar to Annie’s Bunnies or Teddy Grahams. I like them and I’m sure there are many families out there who can appreciate a product that is 100% nut free.
Nutty Rice Bites by 180 Snacks:
I’d describe this snack as a light and sort of crunchy granola snack. They are made with dried fruits and what looks like rice crispies.
Pineapple & Coconut Fruit Ice by Smooze:
I really like ice pops that I can store in the pantry until I want a few. And I really tropical flavors that exclude banana. This was a total win and I’ll have to find out where to get more. I tried to pull this out of the freezer before it turned into a popsicle, I really wanted it to be more of a slushi!
Crispy Cheddar Crackers by Back to Nature:
These are one of my favorite snacks! And I really love this entire line. They make most of the snacks you remember growing up, without all the junk. They even make those peanut butter sandwich cracker things!
Montreal Steak Spice Seasoning Potato Chips by Covered Bridge:
These are like better than BBQ chips. They are spicy and tasty without being overly BBQ-ey or something. I’ll have to keep an eye out for these at the store.
Salt Water Taffy by Salty Road:
Neither of us really like salt water taffy. I must avoid chewy things at all cost, so I think we’ll pass this treat on to someone else. But the flavors are Salty Peanut and Salty Caramel Apple, both sound yummy!
Overall, this was a fun Love with Food box that totally fit the Fun at the County Fair theme! The snacks are tasty and there’s a few I liked enough that I may just have to order right from Love with Food. I didn’t do a cost per item of this box since food cost varies so much, I wouldn’t be able to get a fair estimate. But it’s totally worth the 10 dollars a month!
